Sand

A range of sands for desert dwelling spieces. These range from play sand to calci-sands and vitamin sands contaning for or less minerals as required. These sands come in a range of blends from coarse to fine and a range of colours to ensure that we can provide the perfect sand for your enclosure.

Simple sands are a great sand for creating a natural theme for your desert dwelling reptiles. Calcium sands can be used as a substrate for many reptiles that originate from arid habitats and come in a variety of colours.

In the wild desert dwelling species will ingest small amounts of sand when they are low on calcium as the sand contains limestone (a natural source of calcium). These calci-sands and other calcium based substrates replicate this natural process.
